I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.

Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
